About the PTFA |
The PTFA is an enthusiastic and welcoming group of parents and staff who organise a variety of events during the year, with the aims of:
- Enriching the life of the school
- Raising additional funds for the school
- Having fun!
The type of events we organise are Fireworks Night, Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fair, and a number of other events which have as much a social angle as a fundraising one.
If you would like to help at any of the events we organise, or to have a go at organising something new - or just to come along to the next meeting and find out what goes on, please contact Caroline Brown or Sue Kynaston (Chair & Vice Chair) via the school office, or look out for our regular newsletters ( see attachment at the bottom of the page).
PTFA AGM
The AGM was held Tuesday 20th October and the following people were voted in:
Caroline Brown - Chair person.
Sue Kynaston - Vice Chair person.
Tina Cashman - Secretary & Christmas Bazaar Chair.
Jane Arnold - Treasurer.
Nicci Land - Assistant Treasurer.
Debbie Brunt - Publicity Officer.
Julie Jeal - Summer Fair Chair.
A copy of the minutes can be found attached at the bottom of this page.
Fireworks Night
The next event in the PTFA calender is our Fireworks Night which is being held on Saturday 7th November. This is a very popular event in the community with the Scouts running the Bar-B-Que, the PTFA running the bar and selling light toys.
This is always a great night out (whatever the weather!) and tickets can be bought in advance from the School Office or Billings Chemist on Ratcliffe Drive or on the night.
Christmas Bazaar
The Christmas Bazaar is being held on Saturday 28th November opening at 1pm by Paulina from Heart FM radio station.
There will be lots of craft stalls and new games for you to try out, face painting and card making and not forgetting our famous cake stall ( which always sells out). There will also be a chance (by prior appointment) to visit Father Christmas to discuss the all important Christmas requests.
Come along and get into the Christmas Spirit.
